I have plantar fasciitis and after coming out of a cast my dr. recommended these shoes to me. They are great. I have a whole wardrobe of "foot friendly" shoes: Dansko, Sofft, Softspots, etc. but for plantar fasciitis, 'cause the heel is slightly elevated, these shoes can not be beat. Order 1/2 size up. I ordered the MBT mary janes first but the velco strap tends to loosen up as you wear them. These you can lace and they stay snug. Highly recommend.

2nd pair - I have these shoes in white with orange which I use at the gym. I think their great so much so that I'm ordering a second pair in black for work. I don't find that MBT's run smaller for me they fit true to size.

Fantastic shoes! I love the way I walk in them and can definitely feel the 'workout'. Highly recommended. I ordered a half size up as suggested and they fit just fine.

I keep trying to find a style in MBT that both fits and looks good. I am looking for that relief from backaches that come from standing in a classroom all day. The fit wasn\'t too bad on these, but my toes were touching the inside front of the shoe a bit. The MBT website says that is ok, though. I had no heel slip, either, something I\'ve found with other styles. But, I just didn\'t care for the silver X designs on these. I felt that I looked like a Skateboardin\' Granny. They are also too sneakery looking for work shoes. So, back they go.

These are great shoes! They improve my posture and reinforce my plan to be smart and have fun while pursuing a healthy lifestyle! I purchased a 9, even though I normally wear an 8. This allows me to wear thick socks and to wear these even when my feet tend to swell at the end of the day. I'm worth the investment and so are you!

I love these sneakers. I recently got a 2 year old dog who needs lots of walks. I have a lot of problems with my feet, knees and hips. I have been able to walk up to 3 miles in these shoes. It did take me 10 different pair in 4 different styles to find one that fit correctly. Thanks to Zappos I could keep returning them until I found the right fit. You do need at least 1/2 size larger if not a full size larger.

MBT, Masai Barefoot Technology, is the brainchild of Swiss engineer Karl Müller. While visiting Korea Müller discovered that walking on paddy fields barefoot eliminated his back pain.
